Rushing Toward Eternity
Sold
We're rushing toward eternity
When from time's grasp we will be free.
Life is brief.
So flies pleasure as well as grief.
Quickly the years bustle by,
How foolish to think this moment
is all there is!
As the years quickly whiz,
Ponder this reality:
We are plunging,
hurtling
dashing
rushing
toward eternity.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the
judgment: Heb 9:27
Looking Forward
It's getting closer.
It's getting nearer!
This putting off of the veil of flesh.
This exchange of the earthly view!
As a caterpillar sheds old clothes
to replace its cocoon with wings of flight,
so I anticipate resurrection
and welcome the approaching morn --
promise of eternal light.
